With many fast food restaurants coming up, and unknowingly, one has a tendency to try the new fast food and sometimes can get addicted to it. In such a case, on overeating oily and unhygienic food, it can affect the skin health and growth negatively. Eating a lot of chocolates and foods rich in fats, sometimes leads to hormonal imbalance, and gives way to pimples.

2) Beauty Products

Not paying attention to the beauty product ingredients and if the ingredients in the beauty products are of low quality, then their regular use can also lead to pimples. Too much use of makeup is not advised, and removing the makeup before going to bed is essential.

Symptoms:

Depending on various conditions, the symptoms can range from:

1) Papules

Typically, a small raised spot on the skin that is less than 1 cm wide and may be painful.

2) Blackheads

These are open pores on the skin containing extra oil, and skin that is dead.

3) Whiteheads

These are results of the dead cells, oil or dirt accumulation in the skin pores. They appear to be yellowish or white.

4) Nodules

Hard lumps or knots generally formed deep in the skin and are painful.

5) Pustule

These pimples are filled with puss, i.e. yellowish fluid. They can cause itching and this will lead to scarring.

6) Cysts

Pimples that are large and filled with thick yellowish or white fluid. These contain white blood cells which are dead and small chunks of bacteria and tissue. These are often painful.

How to Get Rid of Pimples Overnight: Effective Methods

Let us look at the different ways to get rid of pimples.

1) Putting Ice on the Pimple Area

This is a preliminary method to control the pimples. Wrap the ice cube with a piece of cloth. Now, press the cloth on the areas affected with pimples for 3 to 4 minutes. Repeat this process for two or three times a day to cool the pimples, and this will lead to a decrease in the swelling of the skin caused due to pimples.

2) Pimple can be Covered with Crushed Aspirin Mixture

Salicylic acid is the main ingredient of aspirin, which effectively removes extra oil and the dead skin. One or two aspirin tablets are crushed and then water is added in suitable proportion to make a paste. Now, put this mixture slowly on the affected skin. This will cool down the pimples, redness, and relieve the pain also. One can lie under the fan if the outside heat is more and after 10 to 15 minutes wash the face thoroughly with water at room temperature or mild warm water.

3) OTC Pimple Creams

Be selective while choosing an appropriate OTC cream. The main ingredient of an OTC cream besides salicylic acid is benzoyl peroxide. Look at the product label containing this ingredient and check for the expiry date. Benzoyl peroxide’s function is to decrease the oil content and remove dead skin cells. It also helps to kill the bacteria, which is responsible for causing pimples.

3) Applying Face Mask on the Pimple

Many face masks are available in the market and some are particularly meant for reducing pimples. Hydrating ingredients such as ceramides, glycerine, and hyaluronic acid help in controlling the pimples on the face. Make sure these face masks have exfoliating and anti-inflammatory properties, so that they do not harm the skin.

4) Cortisone Injection can be Taken for Immediate Relief of Pimples

When OTC medicines don’t provide instant relief, and you want an immediate solution to get rid of the pimples, then there is no harm in trying this cortisone injection, but after consulting a doctor. The cortisone injection is directly injected on the affected pimples and starts decreasing the inflammation. You can visit a local skin specialist (a dermatologist) and discuss more about this injection to treat pimples.
