• What’s identical. This is the one section that genuinely doesn’t apply to the Provigil page, because it’s specific to how generic modafinil gets sold, and it’s worth reading closely if you’re comparing prices across sites.

FDA-approved generic modafinil is manufactured under the same FDA oversight, quality standards, and bioequivalence testing described above, sold in the US through licensed pharmacies with a valid prescription. That’s what “generic modafinil” means on this page.

That’s a different thing from modafinil-analog products (brands like Modalert and Modvigil) that are widely marketed online, often manufactured overseas (commonly in India) and sold without ever going through FDA approval for the US market.
