It is a kind of phobia or fear which is caused due to social situations. After social interaction, an individual experiences fear, embarrassment, and anxiety.

1) Forms
Fluvoxamine doses (Luvox) are available in the form of oral tablets with the following dosage strengths:-

- 50 mg
- 100 mg
2) Dosage Administration
For Adults
A nominal dose of 50 mg of this anti-anxiety medicine can be started in adults. It can be taken at night while getting into bed. The administered dose can be altered between 4 and 7 days, which depends on the tolerance of medicine by the patient for the maximum effect of the drug.
For Young Adults
Young adult patients, with the age group of 8 to 17 years, can start with a starting dose of 25 mg at bedtime. Every 4 to 7 days, the suggested dose can be raised on the basis of the patient’s tolerance for the medication.
Patient With Liver Problem
The modification in the strength of the dose should be carefully administered to these patients.

Note: There is a box warning which is issued by the FDA. It may increase the tendency of suicidal thoughts in the patients who are taking the antidepressant 50 mg Luvox.
Precautions:
- Drugs like Sumatriptan, Carbamazepine, Tacrine, etc are not recommended to take while taking Luvox 5o mg medicine. It may cause drug interaction with this medication and can have detrimental effects on a patient’s health.
- Never abruptly cease this drug because it can cause withdrawal symptoms in individuals.
- The medical history of a patient should be shared with a doctor before starting any treatment.
- The use of alcohol can increase health conditions such as drowsiness and dizziness.
